EDUCATION BRANCH:

All officers are exposed to multifarious challenges and ever changing demands. They have to adjust with the accelerated pace of life in the PAF and respond adaptively to a variety of tasks which they are expected to perform. In order to groom and train these officers to play their roles efficiently and effectively, education officers make a meaningful contribution. If you desire to satisfy your need to impart knowledge and interact with the bubbling and exciting intellect of young men and women, you should consider joining the PAF as an education officer.

* RANK:
Flight Lieutenant

* TRAINING PERIOD:
20 weeks training at PAF Academy Risalpur as Officer Cadet.

* QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters degree (1st/2nd division) from a recognized Pakistan/ Foreign University in any one of the following:
Psychology (Applied / General / Mathematics / International Relations / Journalism / Defence & Strategic Studies / Statistics / Urdu / Library Science / Business Administration / Aerodynamics / Computer Science OR BCS / BBA with five years teaching experience
OR BE / MS Engineering in:
Industrial Engineering / Control System / Circuit Designing


LOGISTICS BRANCH:

Without adequate logistics support, even a well prepared plan cannot be properly executed. To ensure smooth functioning of the PAF, we require a well organized logistics team. If you are keen, meticulous and industrious you can render fruitful services by contributing your acquired knowledge concerning supply and cost-oriented operation services in the PAF.

* RANK:
Flying Officer / Flight Lieutenant

* TRAINING PERIOD:
20 weeks training at PAF Academy Risalpur as Officer Cadet.

* QUALIFICATIONS:
MBA / Bachelors of Engineering in any technology or BBA with two years field experience (1st / 2nd Div) from a recognized Pakistan/ Foreign University.


ENGINEERING BRANCH:

* RANK:
Flying Officer / Flight Lieutenant

* TRAINING PERIOD:
20 weeks training at PAF Academy Risalpur as Officer Cadet.

* QUALIFICATIONS:
BE in Electronics (1st / 2nd Division) from a recognized Pakistan/ Foreign University.


MAIN DATA AUTOMATION BRANCH:

Like all other modern and sophisticated organizations, the PAF also uses computers extensively. Accurate and rapid information and data processing is a pre-requisite for all management, logistics and operational plans and their day-to-day running. Young men and women with talent for computer related work can lead an enjoyable and gratifying life as data automation officers in the PAF.

* RANK:
Flying Officer

* TRAINING PERIOD:
20 weeks training at PAF Academy Risalpur as Officer Cadet.

* QUALIFICATIONS:
MSc Computer Science / BCS (Honours) / BE in Computer Systems
OR BCS / BSc in Computer Sciences (with two years field experience) 1st or 2nd Division from a recognized Pakistan/ Foreign University.



METROLOGICAL BRANCH:

Met Officers monitor the vast skies, analyze the seasonal changes and forecast the weather for efficient flying and accurate combat preparedness of the PAF.

* RANK:
Flying Officer

* TRAINING PERIOD:
20 weeks training at PAF Academy Risalpur as Aviation Cadet.

* QUALIFICATIONS:
MSc Physics / Maths /Avionics or BSc with Physics / Maths /Avionics 1st /2nd Division or equivalent grades from a recognized Pakistan/ Foreign University.



ACCOUNTS BRANCH:

* RANK:
Flying Officer

* TRAINING PERIOD:
42 weeks training at PAF Academy Risalpur as Aviation Cadet.

* QUALIFICATIONS:
BBA / B.Com/ MBA / M.Com (1st / 2nd Division) from a recognized Pakistan/ Foreign University.



LEGAL BRANCH:

Cohesive and disciplined functioning of the PAF 6is ensured with the expert advice and assistance of legal officers. In the interpretation of law and advising us on legal matters, your education and acumen can be a great asset to the legal branch of the PAF.

* TRAINING PERIOD:
42 weeks training at PAF Academy Risalpur as Aviation Cadet.

* QUALIFICATIONS:
BA / LLB (1st / 2nd Division) from a recognized Pakistan/ Foreign University.



ADMIN & SPECIAL DUTIES BRANCH:

Efficient and effective administration is an intrinsic requirement of a combat oriented service. Intelligent and energetic young men and women in this specialty are required in the PAF.

* RANK:
Flying Officer

* TRAINING PERIOD:
42 weeks training at PAF Academy Risalpur as Aviation Cadet.

* QUALIFICATIONS:
MBA / MPA/ MA English / BE Civil Engineering / BBA (Honours) or BA / BSc / B.Com / BBA / BCS (1st / 2nd Division) from a recognized Pakistan/ Foreign University.




SELECTION PROCEDURE:

a) At PAF I&S centre:
(1) Preliminary Intelligence Test, Interview and Medical Examination.
(2) Academic Test in related subjects for SPSSC candidates only.
(3) Personality Tests for SPSSC only.

b) Issuance of calls for ISSB / AHQ Selection Board in order of merit.

c) Tests / Interview at ISSB
Kohat / Malir / Gujarnwala for PC candidates (Met / Legal / A&SD / Accounts) and SPSSC Psychologists only.

d) IBM Programmers Aptitude Test for MDA candidates only.

e) Final Interview by AHQ Special Selection Board for SPSSC candidates.

f) Medical at CMB Masroor Karachi.

g) Final Selection in order of merit by Air Headquarters.


INELIGIBILITY:

a) Twice rejected / screened out by ISSB (PC candidates)

b) Twice rejected / screened out by ISSB for FA / FSc / BA / BSc and later on once for MA / MSc
Courses by ISSB or GHQ / NHQ / AHQ Selection Boards (SPSSC candidates).

c) Twice rejected / screened out by ISSB or GHQ / NHQ / AHQ Selection Boards for MA / MSc / BE /MBBS Courses (SPSSC candidates).

d) Declared Permanent Unit by CMB / CMH or Armed Forces Appeal Medical Board.

e) Dismissed from any Government Service OR withdrawn / rejected from any Service Training Institution.

f) Convicted by a court of law for an offence involving moral turpitude.

g) Whose original academic certificates are found tampered with.

h) Who conceal any information while filling in their application forms.
